Kid Cudi fights fan..again..

Cudi loses his cool again..Kid Cudi was performing for the Ohio Homecoming concert. In the middle of him performing Pursuit of Happiness, a crazy drunk white boy jumps on stage and interrupts him. His entourage kicks the fan off the stage, but that doesn't stop Cudi from going after him and getting in the dude's face. After that he goes back on stage and finishes his performance. I guess Kid Cudi has mood swings that switch like Day N' Nite

Lil Wayne's opinion about Lebron jumping ship

Weezy being the sports critic that he is, gives his opinion about the whole Lebron James situation in Miami from jail cell in Rikers..

Oh Lebron! The recent move by the Miami Heat confirms that we will someday soon have that good ole basketball back with all due respect to the Lakers-Celtics 7 game series. This move reminds me of the days when it was Johnson, Worthy, and Jabbar vs. Bird, Parrish, and McHale, or Thomas, Dumars, and Lambeer. Well now we have Bryant, Gasol, Bynum, and Pierce, Allen, Garnett, and ultimately, Wade, bosh, and James! Do expect this to become “protocol” to win an NBA title. As for many more teams have and will be stacking their rosters with stars.

I believe that this Miami team will be explosive as intended. Anything less than an NBA championship title will be uncivilized. 72-10 anybody?. Well with Wade at the 1 and Lebron at the 2 or vice versa even, or Mario Chalmers at the 1, Wade at the 2, and Bron at the 3… Wow! Not to mention that I didn’t mention Bosh, who can live at the 4 or 5. Zone defense will be a must against this team. That’s 3 players on the court that commands a double team. Just imagine those guys on a fast break, the defender back peadaling… Wade can take it to the hole or throw it up and you know Bron. Bron is going to get it… or dish it back to a trailing Chris Bosh who will definitely finish at the rim… again, wow! Or how about Wade at the 3-point line, Bosh setting the pick, and Lebron in the passing lane. And if you collapse on them, don’t forget that Chalmers can knock down the shot. I bet that they lead the league in alley-oops. And they’re all young! Scary! Hey, what if Pat Riley returns to the sidelines and it ends up being the Lakers vs. Heat in the finals? Riley vs. Jackson! Epic! Gasol on Bosh, Ron-Ron on Bron-Bron, and Kobe on Wade… wow!

Also, beware of the Bulls. Boozer will fit in well because they’re similar to Utah in many ways. A nice guard surrounded by the shooters. With the addiction of Korrer and Rose should be able to shine brighter. The Bulls led the league in the rebounds last season and I’m sure they will again with Boozer and Noah.

Boston is the team of bad knees! With J. O’neal joining the squad, it adds another big man but his knees are always questionable. So is Garnett’s and now Perkins. But still expect them to do well in the east.
The Knicks are injury prone as well. Not only are their spirits injured from not getting The King, but Amare’s an injury threat as well as Turiaf and Randolph. If they can stay healthy, then expect Amare and Randolph to be beasts in the paint. Raymond Felton is no Steve Nash but he’s a solid point guard. He should do well with Stoudemire. I’m not sure about Orlando in the east this upcoming season. I mean Duhon isn’t exactly a good move but it has potential.
As for the West, Minnesota is stacked now with Beasley, Jefferson, Love, and Milicic. Golden State looks good with Curry and Lee. Though I’m not sure if we can expect Lee to brab all these boards in the west. Too many big men. As for the east is full of guards.

I can’t wait to see how teams stack up next season when those other big name players hit the market. Maybe Melo and Tony Parker to the Knicks? Or Chris Paul and Derrin Williams to the Lakers? They’re gonna have to do something! Good ole basketball.

The Tricks of the Trade.

Shyne XXL cover & interview excerpt..

Po graces the cover of the September issue of XXL..MTV got an excerpt from the exclusive interview..Shyne talks about shooting the club up a decade ago..damn it's been THAT long

“In my life, when I make decisions to roll, I roll. And I don’t give a fuck what the consequences are. If I’ma defend myself, I’ma defend myself. If somebody tryna kill or hurt one of my partnas or my comrades, that’s with me, there is no, ‘Yo,’ or, ‘Damn, well, if I pull this shit out, this is what’s gonna happen.’ No! I don’t wanna die. I don’t wanna be laid up in no fucking hospital with a tube runnin’ through me, hurtin’ and sufferin’. Pain is real. So you know what? I’m not doin’ that. You gon’ do that, motherfucker. You gon’ roll and say hi to Satan, not me. And that’s that. Your survival instincts tell you to protect and preserve, and you deal with whatever later.”

Alicia Keys fires her manager and teams up with Jay-Z

Alicia Keys has decided to end her relationship with her long-time manager Jeff Robinson. The R&B singer wants to be more in control of her career, hence the decision of firing Robinson.

The news was given by both, Keys and Robinson, in a joint statement that reads, “This decision will allow Alicia more control over all aspects of her career from singing and songwriting, to leading many business ventures and social causes.” The statement also underlines that the decision was "mutually agreed upon and amicable."

Robison and Keys have assured they will work together from time to time through MBK/J Records.

However, while Alicia has ended her cooperation with her manager, she keeps on working side-by-side with Jay-Z. This time, the successful collaboration between Hov and Alicia leads them to perform together at a charity ball for those affected by HIV/AIDS.

Along with Sade, Jay and Alicia will participate at the annual Black Ball on September 30 at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom. The event will raise money to donate to Keep A Child Alive, a charitable organization of which Alicia Keys is co-founder. Keep A Child Alive provides care for people affected by HIV/AIDS. Since 2004, Alicia has raised over $10 million.

Too $hort address his arrest

Too $hort talks to XXL about what the allgeations and says that the "underage girl" thing was takin out of context

“The accusations against me regarding my arrest in Idaho on July 15th, were untrue and exaggerated. Normally I would ignore rumors, but because of the nature of the story that’s being spread I had to say something. I don’t blame these outlets for running with the story because it’s about Too Short the “dirty rapper” who has never had a scandal and it involved the words “under age girls”. However due to my work with young people in Oakland I am extremely outraged at the way I am being portrayed. The incident that night was completely taken out of context and I have not and never will take advantage of any woman that is underage. Never that!

Drake-Do It All

We can thank Karen Civil for this one..

Two gold albums. And one is well on its way to platinum status. These are the type of stats that ATF frontman Drake is boasting at the current moment. The EP of his uber-successful mixtape So Far Gone recently reached eclipsed the 500,000 sold plateau this week. Thank Me Later passed that mark in its second week of retail existence and should be kicking down the door of platinum status in the coming weeks. Even with plans in motion to start his second album (and while raving about Trey Songz’s new album), he’s still making sure TML is in rotation for at least the rest of the summer. Yesterday, with the assistance of Anthony Mandler, the video for his Lil Wayne assisted “Miss Me” was shot in Atlanta. Today, the video for “Fancy” is set to go down alongside T.I. and Swizz Beatz.

But the time between now and the new album has to be filled up somehow, right? The first offering from No More Thank Yous an unofficial mixtape that dropped today. I was able to obtain the CDQ for track one entitled “Do It All.”

Gettin’ stupid paid, off of smart decisions/I’m the man now, I guess that part’s a given/Someone please tell me the problem with my competition/I ask wassup, and they just always say the cost of livin’….

The record harbors the same formula which Drake has used to propel himself near the top of Hip-Hop’s elite. With success comes its trappings, benefits and the appeal of the fast life – all of which Drake has become accustomed to throughout his rise to fame. The Rob Holladay produced track allows him to speak on all of these and more. Combining this with his recent showing on “Paris Morton Music,” NMTY appears to be heading in the right direction.

The mixtape also features a new tracked produced by Polow Da Don titled “To The Floor” featuring RichBoy & Lloyd.

Fail Moment of The Week: RIAA spends $58 Million suing file sharers, only get 2% back

The RIAA's "business plan" is even worse than I'd guessed it was.

The RIAA paid Holmes Roberts & Owen $9,364,901 in 2008, Jenner & Block more than $7,000,000, and Cravath Swain & Moore $1.25 million, to pursue its "copyright infringement" claims, in order to recover a mere $391,000. [ps there were many other law firms feeding at the trough too; these were just the ones listed among the top 5 independent contractors.]

If the average settlement were $3,900, that would mean 100 settlements for the entire year.

As bad as it was, I guess it was better than the numbers for 2007, in which more than $21 million was spent on legal fees, and $3.5 million on "investigative operations" ... presumably MediaSentry. And the amount recovered was $515,929.

And 2006 was similar: they spent more than $19,000,000 in legal fees and more than $3,600,000 in "investigative operations" expenses to recover $455,000.

So all in all, for a 3 year period, they spent around $64,000,000 in legal and investigative expenses to recover around $1,361,000.

Raekwon talks about his encounter with Eminem

Raekwon Speaks on Eminem Collaboration

By Ahmed - Today, 05:17 AM - Boxden > The Hip-Hop Spot

The Chef and Slim Shady may have something to add on the menu shortly. Raekwon told XXLMag that he met Eminem at Switzerland’s Openair Festival over the weekend and they discussed the possibility of working together.

Rae said it was the first time he met the Detroit lyricist and the two realty hit it off. “He’s a good dude,” Rae said of Em. “I respect him as bein’ one of the top elites in the game and I respect him as being a man, too."

The Wu-Tang MC shared that during their encounter the two spoke on recording a song together. “We schemin’ and plottin’,” he said of the possible collaboration. “The last statement me and him left off on and the conversation I was tellin’ him like, ‘Yo, you might need to make the beat’ and he gave me that look and we both walked away from each other like, ‘Word, you right, we might have to do that like that.’ So get ready man this is gonna happen soon.”

But first up for Rae is the release of C-N-N’s new album, The War Report 2: Report the War, on his Ice Water imprint. The sequel to the group’s seminal 1997 debut is on shelves today. Along with Lex Diamonds, who appears on three tracks, the disc also features cameos from Busta Rhymes, Nas, The LOX and Faith Evans.

Weezy's new letter to the fans

With just 113 days left until his release, Lil Wayne gives an update on his status..

Hello world… I’m good. Counting the days and still smiling. Most of those smiles come from hearing my kids’ voices over the phone. The others come from reading fan mail. Let me just say that I have the best fans in the world! The devotion, dedication, support, love, and most of all, prayers are simply the best. I never imagined that I could have such an impact on people’s lives. Because of this, I vow to be a bit more careful of what I say.

So I’ve been writing and let me be the first to tell you that the lyrics that I’m writing are… well there’s no word that I can think of that properly defines them. Amazing would be too typical and perfect would be unfair. I listen to the radio sometimes, emphasis on sometimes, and I hear the new music. I like some. I applaud my Young Money family for what they’re doing. As I’m not surprised. This is what we’re supposed to do. Congrats to Drake and Nicki for all their recent success. Those 2 are going to have me retiring early. I love my team. Much love to Tez and Mack. I know that people are inquisitive of what I do all day, so here goes. I wake up around 11AM. Have some coffee. Call my kids, and my wonderful mother. I then shower up. Read fan mail. Have lunch. Back on the phone. Read a book or write some thoughts down. Have dinner. Phone. Pushups. Then I listen to ESPN on the radio. Read the bible, then sleep. That’s my day.

I’ll end this letter, but never my love. I’m gone. Oh, and how ‘bout dem Lakers!?!

P.S. I thank my fans for appreciating me the way you do.

Tunechi.

Laws-The Morning After (Crookyln Freestyle) & Night Before (Blood Money Freestyle)

Here is a track off the Laws's 5:01 Overtime mixtape..just 4 min after 4:57

5:01 Overtime is symbolic of me no longer having to work a 9-5, and now being fortunate enough to be able to pursue my music full-time. Ironically enough on my last day of work I go into OVERTIME. -Laws

I am telling y'all..Laws is the truth!

ODB's widow sells final album for 10K

According to ODB's ex-manager Jarred Weisfeld, millions in possible profits were lost by the widow rushing a deal.
The widow of rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard hawked his prized final album for a song. So says Weisfeld who claims Icelene Jones quietly signed away the rights to "A Son Unique," the singer's posthumously- released album, and spent the proceeds. "She sold out for peanuts," said Weisfeld, who said he was told the price was as little as $10,000. Weisfeld believed that the album could have brought in millions for ODB's survivors, who include his mother, Cherry Jones, and four baby mamas who bore his children. Familymembers and Weisfeld have squared off in Brooklyn Surrogate Court, for control over what's left of his career earnings. Icelene Jones did not return calls. (New York Post)
Prior to being shelved, the album was given an iTunes release in November 2009.

The Dream & Christina Millian break up

Guess this means the honeymoon’s over. After tying the knot last October, The-Dream and Christina Milan have apparently called it quits. Earlier today, photos of Dream frockling on the beach with his assistant emerged on the net. According to US Weekly, a rep said the couple threw in the towel before the New Year. The singers also have a five month old named, Violet. Might be time to break out that make up bag, bruh.

Eminem at T in the Park..refuses to walk 40 feet to stage/Till I Collapse/Cinderella Man (Live)

Eminem reportedly refused to walk 40 feet to the stage for his headlining performance at T In The Park on July 10. The rapper, 37, is alleged to have been concerned that he would get mud on his trainers and demanded transportation to take him to the stage.

According to the Sunday Mail, organisers had to rush to hire a coach for him. He then walked to the coach with plastic bags on his feet to not get his sneakers mud and dirt on them.

By the way, Eminem shouted out Lil Wayne saying “Free Lil Wayne!” during the performance.

Jay-Z & DJ Green Lantern-Creative Control (Cover & Tracklist)

Before it was the mighty Neil Armstrong, DJ Green Lantern infamously toured with Jigga Man as his #1 on the 1’s and 2’s. In fact, around the time of his 2006 album Kingdom Come Green & Jay had intended to drop ‘Presidential Invasion’ — a promotional mixtape created while the two were touring Africa and promoting Jay’s “The Diary of Jay-Z: Water for Life” conquest to aid African countries in the pursuit of clean water. That mixtape never materialized, and the hip-hop world was left waiting for that elusive Hova v. Evil Genius collaboration.

Four years later — with the summer of 2010 as the backdrop, and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label and DJ Green Lantern’s Team Invasion as the suppliers — S. Carter takes it to the next level with a new kind of Creative Control. Green and Jay do the damn thing and drop this official new mixtape masterpiece, complete with trademark GL production, remixes, live appearances and never-before-heard music.
