50 Cent fails to fill up Houston arena...

50 Cent took the stage at Houston’s Arena Theater on Saturday night (June 12), and it was easily apparent that his fan base has started to wane. The venue was only filled to 50 percent capacity, but like a pro, the G-Unit general saw the glass as half full and focused on captivating the crowd on hand with his signature laugh and charismatic smile.
Tony Yayo served as hype man throughout the show, urging the audience to get out their seats before Fif opened with “The Days Went By” and “So Disrespectful” from Before I Self Destruct. The sounds of gunfire punctuated the breaks in the action as a medley of the artists’ videos peppered the screens above the stage. Now noticeably gaunt after the shocking weight loss for the upcoming film, Things Fall Apart, the Queens-native moved about the stage with less energy than previous performances, but Yayo easily compensated with his lively presence.
The crowd volleyed its own rising levels of vigor back to Curtis while he performed his street anthems, “Wanksta,” “I Get Money” and “Crime Wave.” Jackson then engaged the ladies in the crowd with “Baby By Me,” “Ayo Technology” and “Follow My Lead.” Yayo got some shine of his own, offering up his biggest hit, “So Seductive.” Fellow G-Unit soldier, Lloyd Banks, was not in the building, but his recent banger, “Beamer, Benz or Bentley” blasted from the speakers in his absence.
The crowd, which seemed to balloon to about 65 percent full by the 45-minute mark of the set, went nuts at the sound of the steel drums on “P.I.M.P.” and kept it going on “Many Men” and “In Da Club,” the biggest hit on 50’s groundbreaking debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’.
Before being ushered off the stage for going over his allotted time, 50 thanked all of his fans for coming out and offered up “Window Shopper” from the soundtrack of his first feature film, Get Rich or Die Tryin’.
50’s next stop on his Invitation Tour will be at The Fillmore in Miami Beach, FL on Tuesday, June 16. Fans can purchase tickets for the show here.

Unfortunately, that's all the details for now but what I wanna know is, what the hell was dude sippin' on??? CuDi don't even look like he'd be strong enough to carry an Ipad let alone break a door. Steroids I tells ya!

Producer Alex Da Kid talks about working with Eminem, Rihanna, and more..

Q&A: Producer Alex Da Kid Talks Eminem

Alex Da Kid and Eminem

You may not know his name yet, but that’s about to change. Alex Da Kid is quickly becoming hip-hop’s hottest commodity as the producer behind B.o.B’s “Airplanes,” Nicki Minaj’s “Massive Attack,” and his latest bragging rights, Eminem and Rihanna’s Recovery collaboration “Love the Way You Lie.”

Currently in the lab with Rihanna, Diddy, Jeezy, and Ashanti, the 26-year-old Londoner sat down with Rap-Up.com to chat about orchestrating pop’s most unexpected pairing of the year and what it was like to work with Slim Shady.

How did the Eminem and Rihanna track come about? Did you do that song with them in mind?
[Rigo "Riggs" Morales], head of Shady Records in New York, heard my tracks and liked them. He knew that Em wanted to do something different on this album or work with different people, so we started sending Em tracks.

How long ago was this?
This was like four, five months ago. We started sending tracks. At the same time, Em heard [B.o.B's] “Airplanes” and he loved it and wanted to get on it, so he got on “Airplanes, Pt. II” eventually, and he helped do additional production on that as well. He became aware of me in both ways. He just asked me if I had any other tracks, so I sent him ["Love the Way You Lie"] with a hook. I just signed the girl that wrote the hook. I gave it to Em and he loved it and recorded it within two days. He was like, “I definitely wanna get Rihanna on this.”

So he had her in mind?
Yeah. Paul [Rosenberg], his manager, sent it to Rihanna and she loved it. She hardly collaborates on anything anymore. It all happened at the last moment.

Were you in the studio with Em when he recorded it?
Not when he recorded it. I went in there to mix it. He recorded it two to three weeks before the album got mastered, and then I went out [to Detroit] like two days before it got mastered. It was last minute. Rihanna was in Dublin, so we were mixing it while she was recording it and doing it over the Internet.

How was it working with Eminem?
It was amazing. He’s really down-to-earth and not how you would expect a humongous artist to be. Everyone around him is really down-to-earth as well. Everyone makes jokes about each other. It’s really funny.

What artists have you had great chemistry with in the studio?
Definitely Em could be the top one. Rihanna was super cool. We did some stuff last year in London.

Why Em?
Em reminds me of one of my friends from back home. It was just so natural. I forgot in two seconds that he was the biggest-selling artist of the decade. He knows what he’s doing. Me and him mixed [the song] together and he’s not like somebody that’s telling somebody what to do. We were both on the board turning knobs. The atmosphere and the vibe down there was just super cool.

Eminem's Won't Back Down in launch trailer for new Call of Duty game..

The next installment of the Call of Duty series just got a little bit more hip-hop.

With all the music games that Activision publishes, news about it adding an artist to the lineup of a Guitar Hero or DJ Hero isn't all that unusual, but something like Call of Duty? That's bound to quirk a few eyebrows

It's been confirmed that Eminem will contribute music to Call of Duty: Black Ops, specifically a song from his latest album Recovery. "Activision's fall titles are set to give gamers an unparalleled musical experience," said Activision CEO Bobby Kotick in a statement that included not just Black Ops, but also more traditional music games.

"We have assembled an exceptionally talented roster of artists, many of whom have created exclusive or originally recorded tracks for our games. We are sure our titles will offer a variety of tracks that will appeal to our wide consumer base and delight the most passionate music and gaming fans," he added.

Eminem's unique brand of rapping might not immediately scream "first person shooter set during the cold war", but we don't know as yet exactly where the song will appear, so it might all make sense after all.

First Drake, now Em, I guess that would explain why Shady is performing at the Activision event..

Coming straight from HoustAtlantaVegas here is the tagless mastered version of Jimmy's lil bonus track off Thank Me Later...enjoy...yeah

HELLA TRIPPIN'

This just in!: Gears Of War 3 is gonna be starring none other pop music diva Aubrey Graham!!! Or as some folks call him, Drake (I'd get a stage name too if my parents named me Aubrey...) Epic Games decided to sell out and hit up Jimmy to star in there sequel to the FORMERLY great game series Gears Of War. Aubrey will be playing one of the main soldiers in the game (cause nothing says soldier like a Canadian R&B singer...) This is obviously a sales gimmick which is fucking retarded because that game was the shit without the use of gimmicks. Now its name is tainted! If they REALLY felt it necessary to go the celebrity route, couldn't they have at least picked someone who could be a believable fucking soldier!? (ex. 50 Cent, Nipsey Hussle, Yukmouth) It's hard to picture Aubrey and his lesbian voice delivering the lines of a soldier in combat. I just hope they aren't going to be EXTRA corny and use stuff from his "music" career in the game. For example, If you get killed in the game you hear "But it's far from over" or Jimmy's character has a name tag that says "Last Name: Ever, First Name: Greatest". At the VERY LEAST, maybe Jimmy's character will get shot (in which case, I'll buy the game) Honestly, even if this sequel does well sales wise, I can see a lot of loyal G.O.W. fans no longer standing by the game they once loved.

So to everybody at Epic Games..............y'all HELLA TRIPPIN'!!!!

Karate Kid set to open number one at the box office..

Who knew the summer would be saved by The Karate Kid? That may happen now that the Jaden Smith-starring remake has earned an estimated $19 million Friday and is now on target for a weekend gross that could reach $60 million. It’s surprising in that everyone expected The A-Team to win Friday night but Karate Kid to take the weekend. Instead the PG-13 rated A-Team may not cross $10 million for Friday night, putting its weekend gross at $27 million. That means The Karate Kid, with its $40 million budget and 2 hour and 20 minute run time, just crushed the $100 million-budgeted The A-Team.

Movie Review: Get Him To The Greek

Well I just came back from watching the new Judd Apatow flick (Get Him To The Greek) and I gotta say....it was actually good!!! Definitely something you should go see if you like the other Judd films.

The plot: An idealist label intern is given the task of flying from the U.S. to Europe to get a failing rockstar (Aldous Snow) and bring him back to the states for a big comeback show

The problem: Aldous Snow is MUCH more preoccupied with Sex, Drugs, and Everything in between.

My Thoughts:

Jonah Hill has never NOT been funny to me and continues his streak of hilarity. Russel Brand pulled of his role of a troubled, sex crazed, rockstar/druggie too. Diddy was really the only one who seemed out of place. There were a lot of shock humor moments in this movie and they were all pulled off beautifully. Scenes included: sodomy, a threesome with only 1 female, and anal drug smuggling. The story was honestly simple and predictable but it got the job done.

Overall Score: 7/10

Ja Rule shooting straight to DVD movie, I'm In Love With A Church Girl

Here is some intersting news I thought I should share. Ja Rule was shooting his movie down the street from the club last night and I thought I should shoot some footage. He has been shooting this movie down here for about a month now and he has been spotted at various locations in my city. Adrienne Bailon is in the movie too and she was there that night too and althrough you can't see her that chick looks skinny and bony as hell! Damn I thought she at LEAST a lil bit more thicker but ehh whatever. Ja is short, like midgit short, like seriously, dude looks like he can barely come up to my chest. Guess 50, DMX, Em, and all of them were right when saying he is short. Whatever..here is the plot of the movie if y'all care..Coming to your nearest redbox..

Miles Montego (Ja Rule) has it all - cars, boats, good looks, mansion, money, women, but more importantly, he has a past. Miles is a retired high level drug trafficker who is now completely legitimate. Even though Miles has turned over a new leaf, the DEA can't seem to let him out of their sights. Miles' only downfall is that he is extremely loyal to his circle of friends and former colleagues who are not retired from the lucrative business. Struggling to keep on the right side of the law, Miles meets the one girl of his dreams but she's not the usual type of girl that he's used to dating. Vanessa (Adrienne Bailon) is a church girl in every sense of the word. They are tested to their last ounce of faith and strength in God and each other. God continues to chip away at Miles through struggles from his past, having to live up to his reputation, feelings of unworthiness, the death of his mother, federal charges, his friends being indicted, the strain on his relationship with Vanessa, almost losing her in a near fatal car accident, and finally the spiritual breakdown and one on one with God that brings Miles to his knees.

Cementary to allow fans to visit MJ's gravesite on Anniversary of death

Forest Lawn in Glendale, Calif., where Michael Jackson is in his final resting place, may allow fans to visit the grounds of his regal tomb on the first anniversary of his death, June 25th.
Arrangements are being finalized now that will allow folks to pay their respects to the King of Pop on the cemetery grounds but not at the Great Mausoleum, where the body is actually interred.
Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz told the L.A. Times newspaper, "We understand that Forest Lawn is working with the Jackson family for some kind of commemoration," Lorenz said. "We will be working closely with Forest Lawn to ensure the safety of those who want to pay their respects to Michael Jackson while ensuring the safety of others who are coming to the cemetery to pay respects to their loved ones."
Although fans will not be allowed to enter the mausoleum, plans are being worked out as to how close they can actually get to the burial site. Sgt. Lorenz says that people will be viewing the structure from a distance.
There will be no special permits issued for the anniversary commemoration, so peddlers of Michael Jackson memorabilia will not be allowed to sell their wares and streets will not be closed off. If any vendors do attempt to sell pop icon–related merchandise, their goods will be confiscated and they will be hauled off to jail.
It is reported that the Jackson family is working with cemetery officials on commemoration festivities, but no details have been released.
Since Jackson was interred last September, only a select few have been allowed access to his burial place.
Sgt. Lorenz does assure anxiously awaiting fans that, "We will be working closely with Forest Lawn to ensure the safety of those who want to pay their respects to Michael Jackson, while ensuring the safety of others who are coming to the cemetery to pay respect to their loved ones."
